India-UAE CEPA — in force since 1 May 2022 Overview. India-UAE CEPA is in force since 1 May 2022. It covers goods, services and investment, with duties removed in stages until 2031. The government describes it as India's first agreement of this kind in the Middle East and North Africa. This page covers which goods its tariff commitments reach. What is covered. The UAE removes duty on 97% of its 7,581 tariff lines: 80.3% from the first day, 14.4% over five years and 2.4% over ten years; 0.5% of lines are only reduced and 2.4% are excluded (Department of Commerce FAQ, May 2022).
