India-Australia ECTA — in force since 29 December 2022 Overview. India-Australia ECTA is in force since 29 December 2022. It is a first-stage agreement on goods and services. Talks on a fuller Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement that builds on it were still under way in 2026. A certificate of origin issued by an issuing body or authority of the exporting country (Article 4.15; rule 16 of India's 2022 origin rules); in India the Export Inspection Council and DGFT's regional offices issue it for all products, and bodies such as APEDA, MPEDA, the Spices Board and the Textile Committee for their own products, on application through trade.gov.in.
