India-UAE CEPA — Benefits & Trade Opportunities
India-UAE CEPA (in force since 1 May 2022): about 95% of the UAE's tariff lines are at 0% for goods from India now, 97% by 2031, counted from the Annex 2A schedule. Labour-intensive sectors such as gems and jewellery, textiles, leather and footwear got zero duty from entry into force. Buyers claim the rate with a certificate of origin and goods must meet the CEPA's rules of origin.
